League of Angels is an impressive newcomer to the browser MMORPG genre. The game has its ups and downs but the well-rounded PvP, robust weapon customization, and abundant side-quests definitely make it a viable choice for any fan of MMORPG's.
League of Angels offers the players two classes to choose from, the warrior or the mage. As you would expect, the warrior gives bonuses to physical attacks and defense, whereas the mage gives bonuses to magical attacks. The developers have assured players that more than two classes will be available in future.
The game starts off with your character being summoned by an angel to an underwater location where you must help her break free from the minions of evil. Upon freeing her, you are then informed that you must recover the Seal of Light from the forces of evil. The seal needs to be recovered in order to replenish the power of the League of Angels. Without it, evil may take over the world.
The player can make a battle party that is made up of one of the many angels, up to 5 other heroes, and the main character. Furthermore, different combinations of heroes and angels team in the same battle party will result in different unique partner abilities to activate, which range from powerful magical attacks to valuable buffs for the party. This offers a strategic element when choosing which heroes and angels to train and recruit for a given fight.
A vast amount of customization is offered to the player when building weapons and equipment. Players can collect various gems with different attributes, and even fuse different gems together to create more powerful ones. These gems can be placed into weapon and equipment sockets to enhance particular attributes such as physical attack, magic attack, HP, magic defense, physical defense, and agility. The player can use this system to choose what attributes the main character and heroes focus on, giving the opportunity to take advantage of an opponent's weakness. Additionally, players can spend in-game gold to upgrade all attributes to weapons and equipment, helping them advance faster while they gather enough gems.
The gameplay in League of Angels is similar to many other MMORPG's. The player will have to explore many dungeons to gain enough experience and items to progress through the in-game world. In addition to the dungeons there are also many challenging mini-games ranging from bejeweled styled puzzlers to arcade style shooters that also reward players with much needed gems and upgrade items. Of course, the core of the game is its PvP systems with both individual arena and team arenas for players to duke it out. Many rewards are up for grabs that will help players on their way to victory!
In conclusion, League of Angels is a full on browser MMORPG that boasts excellent graphics, intuitive customization, numerous dungeons, great PvP, and abundant side quests. Fans of browser games will be pleased with this title and should definitely give it a go!
