Break Room: A Game Providing a Break Room for Game Players

Break Room is a flash-based browser chat program that encourages cross-game communication! Every player at Aeria Games can log in and recreate themselves as a Break Room denizen and explore the lands. Since it is a browser-based game you can play it without having to download a large client beforehand. Play it on any computer with access to the Internet!

Guide

Your journey at Break Room begins with designing your representation in game: your avatar. Once you begin, you can choose from shirts and pants, jackets, shoes, and a wide variety of hairstyles and colors to set yourself apart. Join the Worlds of Aeria and explore lands ranging from a medieval landscape to a modern shopping center. Private messages and Break Room E-Mail make it easy to keep in touch with new friends.

Creating Your Avatar

When you first begin your journey in Break Room, you will be prompted to create an Avatar. Your Avatar is how other players will see you, so be sure you are happy with how you look before you start! If you do want to change something once you've entered the game, check the Store section further on in the Guide.

Creating Your Profile

Once you have created your Avatar, the next screen is your profile data. Remember that other players will be able to see this information, so make sure you only type in what you are ok with other players seeing!Once you have filled out all fields, press Create to create your Avatar and join the Break Room.

Exploring the World

From here you can join any of the lands around Break Room. There's a Karaoke coffee shop, soccer field, even a castle! Simply click to move into one of these areas and join other players.

Communication and Chat

When you enter the game, click on the Chat box at the bottom of the screen. A cursor will appear and you can chat with other people in the area! There are also several ways to keep in touch with your friends. Be sure to try out:

- Buddy List: Adding friends to your Buddy List will show you when they're online!

- Private Chat: Inviting your friends to a Private Chat will ensure you won't be interrupted!

- E-Mail: There's a Mail system built right into the game!

The Store

The Store button at the bottom of the screen functions both as your Inventory and the Store. If you want to browse items you already own, click Inventory. To purchase new items, click Store. You can find new clothes, new hairstyles, and much more!
