ShootClub is one of the premier fantasy wrestling games on the internet. It is a text-based wrestling role playing game (RPG) in which hundreds of players from all over the globe create their own made-up professional wrestlers and compete with each other in our many fantasy leagues.
GETTING STARTED
New wrestlers are placed into Shootcamp, the training facility for Shootclub. You will have to spend the remainder of the current month that you joined in Shootcamp but you will be able to transfer out to a real league for the next month of action.
Once you've cut your teeth in Shootcamp, your new wrestler can be moved into one of many groups, called leagues. Each league has its own titles, matches, and rankings. New leagues will open as new players join the game. To test out real league action, we suggest a move to one of our rookie leagues in order to get your feet wet with wrestlers of equal experience. Then, you can decide if Shootclub is for you, order some cycles, and join a regular league.
ROLEPLAYING
Over the course of the cycle (month), wrestlers are encouraged to submit promos to their league. A promo (flash or roleplay) is a written description of your wrestler's actions or comments. Promos are the best way to get your wrestler 'over' with the other players in the league and also the best method for conducting feuds and alliances. They are also the easiest way to get you noticed by promoters and placed on the TV shows and pay-per-views.
Promos are voted on by fellow players (you cannot vote for your own promo) and scored. The scoring of promos contribute directly to your wrestler's role playing score, which helps your wrestler move up in the rankings and also gain experience, and your charisma score which is used directly in matches to help determine the damage caused by one's finisher or comeback specialty.
SHOWS & MATCHES
While you contribute by submitting your promos, the software and the promoters complete the picture with the crux of the game, the matches. There are two types of matches in Shootclub: 'house show' and 'promoter booked' matches.
House show matches are simulated using the arsenals, attributes, and roleplaying scores of the competitors in order to keep things fair and unbiased. The matchups, who fights who, are determined by the software which uses rankings, fan alignment, tag teams and stables, all as measures as to who would be the best opponents for each wrestler.
'Promoter booked' matches are those that occur on promoter events, in the form of television shows and pay-per-views. These reports are written 'long-form', often with many segments and play-by-play commentary. A promoter can decide the results based on roleplaying ability, experience, arsenal strength, actual house show results, or simply work out a result that would most logically forward a storyline.
WINNING TITLES
There are two types of championship titles in Shootclub: official (Heavyweight, TV, Tag Team) and promoter titles. The official belts are defended on the house shows using the simulation engine. The champion receives an advantage over the challenger so that titles do not change hands too often. Promoter titles are created and the winners are determined solely by the promoter and are only defended on the promoter events.
The governing body of all the leagues, the Shootclub Wrestling Alliance (SWA), has its own belts as well, all of which are 'official' titles that are defended on house shows using the Shootclub simulation engine.

STRATEGY
The biggest intangible in Shootclub is the arsenal system which is basically like a lottery or stock market game. You first must define your wrestlers style using 3 categories (Power, Science, Dexterity) and then choose the best moves (point-wise) based on your style. The move values fluctuate each and every month and part of the game is to guess where the moves will go for the next cycle before it happens. There is quite a bit of luck involved but also some strategy, just enough so to make the results change from month to month.
SUCCESS IN SHOOTCLUB
As you play Shootclub and your wrestler is successful, they gain experience points. These experience points are used to make your wrestler better through ability attributes. This system is designed to make it so players that are dedicated can achieve a certain level of success and maintain that level through perseverance and dedication.
