Pirates 1709, an online pirate adventures. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the freebooters. Build your settlement, produce raw materials, build ships and defence systems, establish Alliances and Confederations, and wage war on your enemies. Pirates 1709 offers you a wide range of options and plenty of action.

To become more powerful you can improve your crew's skills. Pirates 1709 offers you various tactics to battle against your opponents, choose the right one and you will always be one step ahead. Further on you can enter an alliance and fight against other confederacies.

Once you have registered, you get a settlement in one of the five regions. At the beginning, you have one lumberjack and one fisherman to ensure that your settlement already has a basic income. Now you can get started on building up your settlement.

There are different production buildings turning out taler, rum or wood. Upgrade your production buildings over time to increase your settlement's productivity. Of course, you don't just have production buildings. You also need, for example, a shipyard for building ships.

To be able to grow further and get points for the Hall of Fame, you can go into battle against other users (Residence–>Attack). Under the "Crew" menu you will find the necessary crew members to help you carry out your plans. Each type of crew has different strengths.

For example, the Guards are best suited to protect your settlement as they have the highest defense rating. The Sea Dogs, on the other hand, are the most powerful attacking characters. But you can only hire as many crew as your ships and fortress systems can support.

Using the Tactics menu (under Residence), you can set the tactics for your ship. There are five different tactics. Each tactic is superior to two other tactics. If you choose the better tactic compared to your opponent, you get an additional 10% bonus on top of your battle strength.

When attacking, you can choose whether to plunder or take over your opponent's settlement. To take over a settlement, you need a governor, whose job will be to run the new settlement. You can only take over a settlement if you have double the battle strength of your opponent. When you take over a settlement, you also take over all of your opponent's production facilities (however, half of the upgrade level is lost in the takeover). In addition, you also gain all the valuable goods (taler, wood, rum) of the settlement you are taking over.
