Base Zodiac is an online browser based free strategy space game. To expand your empire, reach beyond your homeworld, and increase production of resources you need to colonize other planets. A planet is colonized using a Colony Ship. You can have only 12 planets including your homeplanet. The colonies have different diameter, and so different fields. This depends on the position of the planet in the solar system.

Buildings

There are a total of 18 buildings in Base Zodiac, including the Lunar Buildings. The main buildings are the three mines, which produce metal, crystal & deuterium. It is highly recommended to initially concentrate on these buildings. To build other buildings, the mines must be well developed to give a good income of resources.

Missions

Missions is how a player progresses in Base Zodiac. It's important to send your fleets on the correct missions in the correct numbers, to guarantee success. Missions are assigned via the fleet view or Galaxy View.

Ships

There are a total of 16 ships in Base Zodiac. Without ships, it would not be possible to transport resources or attack other planets. Therefore, it is neccessary for all empires to have a large amount of ships to guarantee a strong empire.

Resources

Resources are used to build ships, buildings, defenses and to research new technologies. It is simply not possible to progress in the game without resources. The amount of resources you have depends on the levels of your mines and how often you win battles. It is recommended to build your mines to at least level 18 before you start buying large amounts of ships etc. Saying that, it is important to have sufficient defenses to protect these resources from enemies, so the best practice is to keep a nice balance and have a steady income of resources.

Officers

There are a total of 15 Officers - all equally valuable. While Base Zodiac is playable without the Officers, they provide a huge advantage if you have them. Research

If you want a successful Empire, you have to research new technologies literally all the time. Keep checking the Technology Page to see what levels of a certain technology you need for a certain ship, building, etc.
